GA4 Account Actions
This article explains how to create, delete, manage, and modify properties and data streams in your Google Analytics account. You must have the Editor role to edit and delete a Google Analytics account’s accounts, properties, and data streams.

How to Remove an Account
Follow these steps to move a Google Analytics account to the trash can.
Step 1: In the Admin panel, navigate to the Account section and select Account details.
Step 2: Select Move to trash can.
How to Remove a Property
Use these steps to move a Google Analytics property to the trash can.
Step 1: In the Admin panel, navigate to the Account section and select Property details.

Removing a Roll-Up Property or Sub-Property
You should consider several factors when deleting roll-up properties and sub-properties.

How to Remove a Data Stream
Before deleting a data stream, review the following impacts:
Once a data stream is erased, it cannot be undeleted or recovered.
The BigQuery Export and other product integrations that depend on that data stream will no longer function.
There will not be any impact on the same app data stream used in a Firebase project connected to Google Analytics 4.
Step 1: In Admin, under Data collection and modification, select Data streams.
Step 2: Click on the data stream row you want to remove.
Step 3: In the upper-right corner, click More > Delete stream.
How to Modify an Account
Use these steps to update account-level details such as name, country of operation, and data-sharing settings.
Step 1: In Admin, under Account, select Account details.
Step 2: Edit the account name, country of operation, and data-sharing and Data Processing Amendment settings as required.
Step 3: Select Save.
How to Modify a Property
Follow these steps to update property details.
Step 1: In Admin, under Property, select Property details.
Step 2: Edit any of the following settings:
Name of property
Industry classification
Time zone for reporting
Currency used
Step 3: Select Save.
How to Modify a Sub-Property or Roll-Up Property
Typically, you use the same method outlined earlier for editing properties to edit sub-properties and roll-up properties, but there are some differences.
A sub-property allows you to edit the filter that determines what data is available. Find out how to edit sub-properties.

How to Modify a Data Stream (Google Analytics 4 Properties)
Use these steps to access and modify data stream details in Google Analytics 4 properties.
Step 1: In Admin, under Data collection and modification, select Data streams.
Step 2: Click the data stream you want to modify to open the stream details screen.
How to Modify a Data Stream Name or URL (Web)
You can modify the name or URL of a web data stream from the stream details screen.
Step 1: On the Web stream details screen, select the edit icon in the upper-right corner.
Step 2: Enter the new name for the data stream in the Stream name field.
Step 3: To update the Website URL, choose the protocol (http or https) and enter the new domain and path for the URL.
Step 4: Select Update stream to save the changes.
How to Modify Data Stream Settings and Properties
From the data stream settings, you can perform the following actions associated with the data stream:
Retrieve the most recent configuration file for your application (app).
Gather Universal Analytics events within your Google Analytics 4 property.
Detect undesired referrals (web).
Modify the session time-out.
Exclude internal traffic from the data analysis (web).
Modify enhanced measurement settings (web).
Include or exclude connected site tags (web).
Edit and create events as needed (apps and web).
Create Measurement Protocol API secrets (web).
Update enhanced measurement settings (web).
If You Use Connected Site Tags
When using connected site tags with a web data stream that you plan to delete, you should remove the site tags before deleting the data stream. Here are the instructions.
