Why it matters

Shopping performance is usually a feed problem wearing a bidding costume. Titles leading with your brand instead of the product, missing GTINs limiting where you show, one disapproved variant dragging a whole product group down, and no custom labels so every item bids the same regardless of margin.

The item-level view is where it gets uncomfortable. In most catalogues a small share of products absorbs a large share of the budget and returns very little, and nobody notices because account-level ROAS looks acceptable. Once you can see it by item, the fix is obvious and fast.
